CASE STUDY

Lina Lennox × Branva

Creative strategy + full-funnel execution for scalable growth

OVERVIEW

Scaling a women-founded haircare brand

Lina Lennox is a women-founded haircare brand specializing in 100% organic silk bonnets and accessories. Despite strong product quality and loyal customers, the brand struggled to scale profitably while maintaining creative consistency across channels.

The challenge was clear: Lina Lennox had great products and a passionate customer base, but their marketing was fragmented. Different freelancers handled ads, emails, and social media, resulting in inconsistent brand messaging. Paid ad costs were increasing without matching growth in conversions, and high Add-to-Cart rates weren't translating to purchases due to landing page friction and incomplete flows.

Branva partnered with Lina Lennox to manage their full marketing operations through one integrated system. We unified creative strategy, optimized the full funnel, and built systems that could scale with their growth. The result: 100% sales growth while reducing marketing costs by 30%.

CHALLENGES

Overcoming fragmentation and inefficiency

Creative Fragmentation

Different freelancers handled ads, emails, and social — resulting in inconsistent brand messaging. The brand's story wasn't being told consistently, which confused customers and diluted the brand's impact. Each channel had its own creative direction, making it impossible to build a cohesive brand experience.

Rising Costs

Paid ad costs increased without matching growth in conversions. The brand was spending more to acquire customers, but those customers weren't converting at a rate that justified the spend. This created a cycle where they had to spend more to maintain revenue, which further increased costs.

Low Funnel Efficiency

High Add-to-Cart rates but weak Purchase conversion due to landing page friction and incomplete flows. Customers were interested enough to add products to cart, but something was preventing them from completing purchases. This suggested issues with checkout flow, trust signals, or product page clarity.

OUR APPROACH

Unified marketing operations

Branva partnered with Lina Lennox to manage their full marketing operations through one integrated system:

1. Creative Strategy & CRO

We redesigned campaign visuals around key brand stories — "Beauty at the Root™" and "Organic Silk Difference." These stories became the foundation for all creative work, ensuring consistency across channels while maintaining the brand's authentic voice.

We improved PDP structure with social proof, comparison charts, and clear value anchors. Product pages were redesigned to answer customer questions, showcase benefits, and remove friction from the purchase process. We added trust signals, clear shipping information, and compelling product descriptions that converted browsers into buyers.

We implemented A/B-tested creative iterations every two weeks. This continuous testing approach allowed us to learn what resonated with Lina Lennox's audience and optimize accordingly. Each test informed the next, creating a compounding improvement in performance.

2. Paid Ads Optimization

We rebuilt Meta and Google Ads accounts with new creative and audience segmentation. The new structure separated awareness, prospecting, and conversion campaigns, allowing us to optimize each funnel stage independently. This approach improved efficiency and reduced wasted spend.

We consolidated ad sets and introduced creative testing loops to reduce CPA by 30%. By eliminating underperforming ad sets and focusing budget on winners, we improved overall efficiency. The creative testing loops ensured that campaigns stayed fresh and prevented ad fatigue.

We introduced seasonal campaigns (BFCM, Valentine's, Summer Silk Sale) with optimized funnel tracking. These campaigns leveraged seasonal demand while maintaining the brand's core messaging. Proper tracking allowed us to understand which campaigns drove the best results and optimize future efforts.

3. Email Marketing & Lifecycle Flows

We built full Klaviyo automation: Welcome, Abandon Cart, Post-Purchase, and Replenishment. Each flow was designed with Lina Lennox's brand voice and customer journey in mind. The welcome series introduced new subscribers to the brand's story, while abandoned cart flows recovered lost sales with compelling offers.

We introduced monthly product story campaigns and UGC-driven content. These campaigns showcased the brand's values, highlighted customer success stories, and built community around the products. User-generated content added authenticity and social proof that resonated with the audience.

We improved deliverability and segmentation for higher CTR and repeat purchases. Better segmentation meant more relevant messaging, which improved engagement. Improved deliverability ensured that emails actually reached customers' inboxes, maximizing the impact of each campaign.

SHOPIFY ADMIN & WORKFLOWS

Fixing the store behind the funnel

High Add-to-Cart with weak Purchase conversion isn't only a creative problem — a lot of it lives inside the Shopify admin itself. Before the ads could pay back, we cleaned up the store operations and built repeatable workflows so the fixes would hold as the brand scaled.

1. Shopify Admin Cleanup

We restructured collections and product organization so the silk bonnet range, accessories, and bundles were logically grouped — making both navigation and Performance Max feed quality dramatically better. Smart collections with rule-based logic replaced manual product sorting, so new SKUs auto-filed into the right places.

We standardized product data across the catalog: consistent variant naming, complete metafields, proper image alt text for every product, and bulk-corrected compare-at pricing for promotions. Clean product data fixed silent disapprovals in Google Merchant Center and improved on-site search — both of which had been quietly leaking conversions.

We audited and repaired broken internal links and set up 301 redirects for discontinued products, so customers (and Google) stopped hitting dead ends from old campaigns and indexed pages.

2. AI-Assisted Operational Workflows

We connected Claude to the Shopify store so routine admin became prompt-driven rather than manual: bulk price and compare-at updates for seasonal sales (BFCM, Valentine's, Summer Silk Sale), inventory sell-through checks to flag slow movers, and bulk metafield and tag updates — each run with a sample-and-approve gate so nothing touched the live store without a human confirming first.

We built repeatable playbooks for the recurring work: a sale-launch workflow (stage prices → review → apply → schedule), a new-product onboarding checklist (data, images, alt text, collection assignment), and a weekly store-health pass that surfaced broken links, out-of-stock bestsellers, and pricing inconsistencies before they cost a sale.

The point of the workflows wasn't just speed — it was consistency. Every sale launched the same clean way, every new product shipped fully optimized, and the founder stopped spending evenings buried in the Shopify admin reconciling spreadsheets.

3. Conversion-Critical Store Fixes

With the admin clean and workflows running, the funnel fixes finally stuck. Checkout friction was removed, trust signals and shipping clarity were added at the product and cart level, and the Add-to-Cart → Purchase gap closed — contributing directly to the 42% conversion improvement.

RESULTS

Results: 100% sales growth in 60 days

In just 60 days, Lina Lennox achieved a 100% increase in total Shopify sales while reducing paid ad spend per sale by 30%. This combination of growth and efficiency improvement proved that the unified approach was working. The brand was growing faster while spending less per customer.

The 2.4x ROAS on Meta Ads and 4.2x blended ROAS across channels showed that campaigns were profitable. More importantly, the 42% improvement in Add-to-Cart → Purchase conversion proved that our CRO work was addressing the funnel efficiency issues. Customers were now completing purchases instead of abandoning carts.

The consistent brand message across email, ads, and landing pages created a cohesive experience that built trust and drove conversions. Customers saw the same story, the same values, and the same positioning everywhere they interacted with the brand, which reinforced the brand's identity and made purchasing decisions easier.
